Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00am – 4:00pm)
Salary: 40,000 + bonus

Job Scope
The Product Development Project Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating assay development projects within a regulated diagnostics environment. This role combines technical leadership with project oversight, ensuring successful delivery of product development activities from concept through to completion while maintaining quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate laboratory research for assay development projectsAssess and verify the diagnostic performance of immunoassaysAct as a technical lead and key interface with internal teams and external partnersContribute to cross–functional product development teamsSupport and participate in technical investigations and problem–solving activitiesManage and mentor a small team of Product Development Scientists (2–3 direct reports)Monitor project progress, timelines, and performance alongside project management teamsAssist with budgeting and forecasting for product development activitiesEnsure compliance with SOPs, governance procedures, and quality standardsSupport preparation of regulatory submission documentation and respond to regulatory queriesCollaborate across global teams as required by project demandsComplete all required documentation for product design and development phasesEscalate risks or issues relating to timelines, budget, or delivery when necessaryMaintain a flexible approach to meet business and project needs
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent industry experienceAt least 2 years' experience in immunodiagnostic product development or design changeStrong understanding of regulatory requirements for IVD productsProven ability to lead or supervise a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment
