Working 24 hours per week Wednesday to Friday with some occasional weekend cover.
Role Overview
Working as part of the on–site Quality team, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine and non–routine analytical testing on raw materials, in–process samples, and finished products. All work must be completed in accordance with approved procedures, food safety standards, and company protocols.
This role contributes directly to our client s commitment to product quality, customer satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. It requires a high level of attention to detail, technical accuracy, and a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements within a manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities

Accurately document and report laboratory results within agreed timeframes, highlighting any non–conformances or out–of–specification findings immediately. Ensure all testing complies with internal Quality Management Systems (QMS), HACCP principles, and relevant food safety regulations. Support the calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory equipment. Assist with sampling of raw materials, in–process materials, and final products at designated stages of production. Uphold a clean and hygienic laboratory environment in accordance with food handling and hygiene standards. Participate in internal audits, including hygiene inspections and food safety reviews. Collaborate with production teams to support troubleshooting activities and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to the generation and release of Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and Certificates of Conformance (COCs), when required. Candidate Requirements
Prior experience in a laboratory environment, ideally within food manufacturing or a related regulated industry. Understanding of food safety standards, including HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) desirable Strong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity. Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) precisely and work independently within a defined schedule. Effective communication skills and ability to work cross–functionally. Proficient in documentation and basic computer systems. If you're looking to build your career in a quality–driven environment, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high–performing team within the food industry.
