Job Title: Occupational Therapist (School–Based)

Contract Type: Full–Time / Part–Time (Flexible)

About the Role:

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive school in Chelmsford that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs, helping them to develop the skills required for independence, learning, and everyday life.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and support students with physical, sensory, and cognitive needs

Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff

Provide strategies and recommendations to enhance classroom participation

Monitor progress and maintain accurate records and reports

Support the development of EHCP targets and reviews

Requirements:

Degree in Occupational Therapy

HCPC registration

Experience working with children or in a school setting (preferred but not essential)

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
