Impact Recruitment is working exclusively with a growing advanced manufacturing organisation to recruit several Lab Technicians as part of an ongoing site expansion.

This is an excellent opportunity for people looking to develop their technical skills and establish a long–term career in a specialist manufacturing environment. With a starting salary of 35,000 and comprehensive training available, previous laboratory experience is not essential.

The Opportunity

You will join a modern production facility working within a controlled cleanroom environment, helping to ensure products meet the required quality and manufacturing standards.

The position combines practical production activities, detailed inspection work and computer–based tasks. Full training will be provided, allowing you to learn the processes, equipment and procedures required for the role.

Shift Pattern and Working Environment

Salary: 35,000 per annum

Working pattern: Continental shifts, 4 on / 4 off

Day shifts: 07:00–19:00

Night shifts: 19:00–07:00

Rotation: Two day shifts, two night shifts, followed by four days off

Environment: Specialist cleanroom manufacturing facility

Training: Full training provided from the outset

Please note: Due to the site's rural location and shift times, access to your own reliable transport is essential. The role also requires working in cleanroom clothing and following strict hygiene and safety procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Lab Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out visual inspections of components using microscopes and other specialist equipment.

Supporting precision manufacturing and production activities.

Completing quality checks in line with established procedures.

Entering production information and inspection results accurately into computer systems.

Following detailed work instructions and maintaining high standards of accuracy.

Working within a controlled cleanroom environment.

Ensuring all health, safety, cleanliness and quality requirements are met.

Collaborating with colleagues to maintain production standards and achieve operational targets.

The role requires a combination of practical ability, concentration and consistency, with opportunities to develop further technical knowledge through hands–on experience.

Who Should Apply?

Previous laboratory or manufacturing experience is not essential. We are particularly interested in individuals who demonstrate the right attitude and a willingness to learn.

You should have:

A reliable and conscientious approach to work.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.

Basic computer skills and confidence recording information accurately.

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

A willingness to learn new processes and work with specialist equipment.

The ability to work comfortably within a cleanroom setting.

Reliable transport to access the site for both day and night shifts.

Experience in production, assembly, warehousing, inspection, laboratories or other practical working environments would be beneficial, but applications from other backgrounds are welcome.
