Health Care Assistant (Days/Nights)

Location: EX4 8NS

Hours: Full–time, Part–time & Flexible Hours Available

Pay: GBP12.71 – GBP15.00 per hour

About the Role

As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting service users to live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. You will provide person–centred care while promoting independence and enhancing wellbeing.

We offer flexible working hours, with full–time, part–time, day and night shifts available to help you achieve a healthy work–life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including assistance with washing, bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting.

• Support safe moving and handling in accordance with care plans and training.

• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic care records and update care plans as required.

• Contribute to reviews of service users' needs and report any changes in their health or wellbeing.

• Encourage and support service users to participate in organised activities and one–to–one sessions alongside the Activities Coordinator.

• Assist with housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry, to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high–quality, person–centred care.

Night Health Care Assistant Responsibilities

In addition to the above, Night Health Care Assistants will:

• Remain awake and on duty throughout the shift.

• Stay on–site for the duration of the shift unless authorised otherwise.

• Carry out regular security, safety, and wellbeing checks to ensure the comfort and protection of service users.

• Respond promptly and professionally to any overnight care or emergency needs.

• Basic IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.

• A commitment to delivering high–quality, person–centred care.

• Previous care experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
