It has traditionally been used as a warming medical supplement for bones, health recovery after illness or surgery, essentially anything that requires recovery and building of strength and energy levels. It is full of super healthy fats, it is a wonderful that can be eaten on its own by all households and as a crumb on a dessert plate.
