Description
To unblock a drain using this Caustic Soda (Sodium Hydroxide), follow the instructions on the label: mix 100g of the product with 1 litre of cold water, pour it down the drain, and wait for 30 minutes before flushing.
Important Usage and Safety Steps
Mixing Rule: ALWAYS add the caustic soda to the water, NEVER add water to the caustic soda.
Water Temperature: Use cold water for mixing, as the chemical reaction itself generates significant heat.
Protective Gear: Wear rubber gloves and eye/face protection. Direct contact causes severe skin burns and eye damage.
Ventilation: Use in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling harmful fumes.
Material Compatibility: DO NOT use on aluminium or lacquered surfaces. Excessive use can also damage or warp PVC and older metal pipes due to the intense heat produced.
