I agreed a price with John to lift and relay flagstones that were sloping towards my wall leaving water pooling just below the damp course,he started work the next day with Hussain to relay the flags on a slight gradient away from the wall towards a grassed area beside the fence which is what we discussed he brought to my attention some of the flags were a different size to others but as a paviour I would assume he would compansate for that as I said to him,however when they had finished some of the flags were uneven which were a trip hazard by which time the light was fading however they rectified them,this morning when I went out the gradient falls down the side of the wall (covering 1 brick on damp course ) instead of away from the house I paid £900 for this and Im not happy when I spoke to him his answer was as long as the water does'nt pool it will be okay the fact that it was not what he agreed does"nt seem to matter I would not have paid him if I had seen this the night before !!!!
