Description
This is a tele project build which I'm selling mainly for the parts, it hasn't been played for years and needs a good home. Alder body, maple neck, light blue paint with matte polyurethane clear coat.
Body - There is some noticeable discolouration in the paintwork which has developed over time, the light blue has slowly started to age into a green but not evenly. Realistically, unless you like the look, it's a body to harvest and respray. The wood is alder. I chose to fit a Gibson-style square jack plate rather then the usual tele cup-type. I also fitted double strap buttons so that the guitar can stand up on it's own without a stand.
Neck - Generic tele neck made from maple, it will need some fret work and a proper setup. Tuners are all in great condition.
Pickups - These are the highlight of the package, made by Ironstone in the UK and hand-would by Tony Partridge, they are fabulous, reviews on their website.
The whole guitar is correctly wired so everything is there for anyone looking for a restoration project. The asking price is much less than the sum of the parts.
