Pink Fat Strat Stratocaster with Gilmour switch

Here we have a gorgeous HSS Stratocaster in a very unusual pink/coral colour.

HSS pickup configuration. Pickups from a Fender Squier.

Shielded body and pickguard. Electronics work perfectly.

Gilmour switch that activates the neck pickup in any position of the pickup selector, enabling neck and bridge or the 3 pickups simultaneously. 7 possible pickup combinations in total.

Swimming pool routed, you can use any combination/placement of pickups.

The neck is new, sort of a round C profile, very comfortable. It has an open pore finish very pleasing to the touch. The markers are a very cool abalone-like material. Really low action.

Locking tuners and blocked bridge to maximise tuning stability and increase sustain.

1 tone for neck and middle pickups

1 tone for bridge pickup / Gilmour switch

This guitar has the twangiest sound in all positions. The middle pickup alone takes the cake. I've never been very interested in middle positions on Stratocasters but the sound of this one is addictive.

Neck attached to the body with a set of stainless steel M4 bolts and wood inserts. This construction is much more solid that the usual 4 wood screws. It yields a better stability and much improved sustain with a thicker sound. The pic of the wood inserts is from another guitar.
