Description

Peavey Bandit 112 Transtube Guitar Amplifier

100 watt 1x12 two channel USA made guitar combo.

Brilliant workhorse amplifier. Solid, reliable, gig-ably loud.

Everyone knows these amps, but often people forget just how good they really are. Peavey Bandits have a longstanding reputation for being great, trustworthy amps. And stories are legion about Peaveys being dropped down flights of stairs, falling out of moving vans or being left forgotten in the shed for years AND STILL WORKING !!

This Bandit Transtube 112 is another great example of this build quality. Solid cab, metal corners, heavy duty handle, tough tolex covering and thick front grille.

And they also sound great. Loads of control over the sound; fantastic cleans, great bluesy gains right up to real metal/thrash mayhem. All the gain that any guitarist would reasonably need and then some.

Very responsive, wonderful warmth with natural compression and valve feel. But solid-state, so all the good sounds without any valve issues or general glass hassle (glassle ?).

I’m blessed enough to have some other very nice valve amps to compare this with and while it’s not a JCM900 Marshall or a Boogie Rectoverb, sound-wise it’s not a million miles away, and I’d be very happy to do a gig with it.

This unit is in excellent condition. Everything is clean and tidy, no rips or damage in tolex or grille. Electrics are fine, switches and knobs all present and clean, everything working perfectly with no nasty surprises.

Two switchable channels with separate EQ on each.

It takes pedals really well and has a switchable FX loop

Sockets on the rear for an additional extension speaker, preamp out and power amp in, allowing for all kinds of gig/recording/multi-amp/multi-effects set ups.

Sheffield 1230 8ohm speaker.

Footswitch included.

So that’s it. A very clean, well looked-after example of one of the most famous and best-selling guitars amps ever made. Do the research and then come back and buy this one. You’ll be really pleased with it.

And when you do drop it out of the van, you’ll still be able to do the gig, ‘cos it’s a Peavey !

Ideally, collection only from near JCT 27 M5 in Devon. I might be able to deliver or meet up if mutually practical as I often travel around the country. At a push, I would courier it, but would prefer not to as I don't trust couriers with my own stuff and it is very heavy. However, let's discuss it if needed.
