Original 80s Fender HM Strat : For sale or possible swap
Southside, Glasgow
£900
Description
The Fender HM Strat was produced from 1984 until 1992, as Fender's answer to Superstrats produced by manufacturers such as Jackson and Ibanez. The guitar was made at the
Corona Plant (Fender), USA in 1988 – 1989 Production Number: 21681
Body and headstock were refinished before the guitar came into my possession c.2012. Guitar has one or two tiny dings to the body but is otherwise in very good condition and plays perfectly.
Not really looking for trades generally but would look at a swap for a Godin ACS nylon or a Gibson Les Paul Special with a slim 60s neck profile.
Spec: 24 jumbo frets (maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and with one of the four neck "bolts" (screws) off-set at the bottom of the neck to allow a more comfortable "heel" area for playing in the upper registers and a lighter basswood body. 17” Fingerboard radius. The scale length is an even 25 inches (635 mm), rather than the normal Strat 25.5 inches (648 mm). In addition, the Fender HM Strat has a Kahler licensed double-locking tremolo system, "Spyder", and Gotoh tuners, one DiMarzio humbucking H* "Super 3" pickup and a side mounted jack socket.
Comes with quality hard case in perfect condition.
