This exceptional instrument represents one of the rarest and most sought-after guitars in Gibson’s Artist Series. Produced by the Gibson Custom Shop as a tribute to Jimi Hendrix’s original 1967 “Love Drops” Flying V, it faithfully recreates the psychedelic hand-painted design he used on his European tours between 1967 and 1969. The original guitar remains an icon, continuing to captivate fans and collectors worldwide. Mahogany body and neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Equipped with Gibson ’57 Classic pickups – renowned PAF-style pickups celebrated for their warm, vintage tone. Features a vibrato unit, a distinctive element closely associated with Hendrix’s modified Flying V design.
Only 300 examples of this limited-edition model were produced in 2006, making it a true collector’s piece.
