Description
This guitar was part of a special run in a collaboration between Andertons and Fender, and was described by Andertons at the time as the closest you could get to a Custom Shop model without paying for a Custom Shop. Called the Mischief Maker because of the Tele neck on a nitro-lacquered Strat body, it's a bit of a unique beast! The neck is maple, pretty chunky, described as a Large C, but with the lacquer worn off the back to give a super comfortable, played in feel. Andertons also spec'd it with USA wired Pure Vintage '59 pickups, which I much prefer to the Texas Special pickups found in the nearly identical 60's model.

Pure Vintage '59 Pickups
Fender's US-wired Pure Vintage '59 pickups are wound to extremely precise specifications for authentic, traditional tone and performance. Built to evoke the original era of the Fender Stratocaster with their alnico 5 magnets and formvar-coated wire, these '59 Strat single coils produce a round, warm tone with a sweet edge.
