Description
Incredible-sounding, Hand-Wired, Rare, vintage-voiced amp. 2 channels- one with a fender-type circuit and another a more marshall-type. Goes from crystal clean chime to sweet-sounding, sustaining overdrive. Artists who've used this amp include Steve Craddock (Ocean Colour Scene, Paul Weller, The Specials) and James Dean Bradfield (Manic Street Preachers). Very comfortably loud enough for any gig, with the option to switch down to 10 Watts for quieter practice and smaller gigs.
In excellent condition with:
All Hand-Wired Circuit
Stunning Burgundy Tolex (no rips or tears) over an oversized Baltic Birch ply cabinet.
2 X Celestion Vintage 30 speakers.
2 channels, each with hi and lo inputs.
Master Volume control for Channel 2.
Amp switches between Pentode and Triode modes for 30W/10W operation.
See pictures for detailed cosmetic condition. Has had very little recent use and like all used valve amps might benefit from a service, but it is fully functional and hand-wired to a boutique amp standard.
“There is something magical in the sonic qualities of the 30W EL84 power stage driving a pair of classic British speakers. The Artisan 30 takes this tone and distils it to a new level of tonal purity. One channel is built around an EF86 with a 5-way Bass Shape switch and the other an ECC83 with the addition of a Voice control for extra tonal flexibility. “
Cash on collection only- it's a big amp and I wouldn’t dream of posting it. I might swap for an acoustic or electric guitar with cash adjustment either way possible. I’m in West Kilbride and available most afternoons/evenings. Thanks for looking.
