Gretsch Astrojet USA Electric Guitar
+
CASE -
Up for sale is a stunning 1960s Gretsch Astrojet Solid body electric guitar.
As you can see from the pictures the guitar has had a pro refin quite a while ago in what looks like British racing green which looks great and has nicely aged.
The guitar has suffered a headstock repair ( see photos ) structally sound with no movement but the " stinger " spray job isnt the best,
Electrically it all works as it should, the switches are quite stiff but do work, the pickups read around 4k which seem common on these older Gretsch guitars. The bridge pickup is quieter than the neck due to being lower, I was going to add a spacer rather than lowering the neck pickup to match but will leave it to the new owner to decide.
These are really hard to come especially on these shores, it is one of the guitars which I am not too fussed if it sells.
Comes with a hard case not too sure if it is original to the guitar ( has additional padding inside ) but is period correct , it looks as though the original Gretsch tag from the guitar has been put on the case.
The body has taken a few knocks and general playing marks but all in keeping with the age and look of the guitar.
This one is strictly cash on collection no other forms of payment will be accepted to due to issues in the past and I will not be willing to risk posting a guitar of this value.
It is advertised elsewhere so if the auction ends early it will be for this reason - will not end if it has received a bid .
