For sale is my 2016 Ford Grand C-MAX (SG66UCV). The car is in very good condition bodily and the engine starts and runs perfectly.
The Condition:
The car is still driveable in forward gears. It will drive forward, but it cannot go into reverse gear. When you attempt to select Reverse, the gearbox fails to engage.
Technical Diagnosis:
I have performed a professional diagnostic using FORScan. (Unable to engage Reverse GEAR).
Voltage Check: The battery and main wiring show a healthy 14V.
The internal TCM voltage (MAINECUV) show 6.5V when trying to select a gear. This confirms an internal electrical short in the Mechatronic unit/TCM.
Engine: 1.5 TDCi – perfect runner.
Transmission: 6DCT450 PowerShift
Interior: 7 Seats, clean condition.
Fix: Needs the Mechatronic unit TCM(TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE) repaired or replaced. Cost about £500 to £600
