And so, here we have another epic journey for a car.
Another main dealer px, this one from a Mercedes dealership in......... Swindon.
I don't like to make life easy, but sometimes enjoy the day out !
164miles away, for a fiesta, what was I thinking ?
Well, a cheap to insure and 49 mpg in a car really.
So after a quick refuel at a shell station , were straight onto the dual carriage way, heading for Oxford.
£20 of fuel , just under 4 hours along the motorways and dual carriage ways, battling with 40ft artics, and the car drives really well.
I do tend to drive back without the radio on, listening for any sill noises, but nothing......

- MECHANICALS:
The car is powered by the 1.25 petrol engine ford have done for years,
We've had loads of these little fiesta's, and im really suprised by the build quality .
Mated to the slick 5 speed manual gearbox, the car does change gears well.
Id usually say ""NO funny noises"", but it was advised to the last owner about a corroded back box exhaust on the last mot.
So at great expense I've had a new back box put on, and now much quieter , and sounding like it should.
Oh, and NO funny lights on the dash.
And just an easy car to drive ....

- EXTERIOR:
The car is finished in the timeless metallic silver, Ford have been doing for years .
But does look well in the sunshine this afternoon.
If you catch it in the right light, the paintwork does shine.
Just had a full machine polish, and a coat of wax, and looking very sparkling...
The car does have a few minor scratches here and there,
All touched in, please see the walk round, as I can't really get them on the photos.
This colour does hide scratches well once touched in, but trying to be honest.
Even the multi spoke alloy wheels, in great condition, and on good tread tyres help to set the car off nicely....

- INTERIOR:
Usual hard wearing Ford seats,
These are finished In a sort of bluey / grey colour, with a burgundy center.
And do work well, helping to keep the interior light and airy.
All seats have been shampooed, and have come up well.
The drivers seat , looks in great condition, with NO holes, nice!
Plastics wiped and dressed, the dash is in a unique colour and works well, and the car has come up well....

After a phone call I've been informed that the
Cambelt was done in 2019 at 77k by Bristol street motors , so in mileage good for another 15k miles or so
In fact it was last serviced 03/10/2025, so 6 weeks ago, at 185 pounds.
Oh and on the mot in August they advised 3 tyres, so there is an invoice for the new tyres fitted 4 days after the mot too,
And a new battery 6 months ago,
So a fortune spent , then traded in, BONKERS!

- RUNNING COSTS:

Where possible we source full service history cars.

Our stock changes daily, mainly due to the lower margins we charge to create a higher volume.

I do love the Vw group cars,( VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda ) so you will see a lot of those, plus the smaller engine , cheap to tax and insure cars.
