Based on the popular Escort platform, the Ghia was positioned as one of the more upmarket versions, offering extra comfort and styling features that set it apart from the more basic models. Under the bonnet sits a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, providing enough performance for everyday driving while retaining the straightforward character for which Ford was known.
