Description
Original Victorian/Edwardian cast iron mantel with fluted uprights and decorative moulding. A solid, heavy period piece — perfect for anyone restoring a traditional fireplace or as a surround for a wood burner.
Structurally sound with no cracks. It has been gloss‑painted at some stage, and that finish is now chipped and flaking in places as you can see in the photos. This is purely cosmetic and could easily be taken back to the original cast iron with a bit of Klingstrip or similar.
