Pay: £14.50–£15.00 per hour (self-employed basis)

Type: Freelance / Ongoing Part-Time

Industry: Exhibition & Events (fast-paced, seasonal)

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, organised, and proactive Freelance Project Coordinator to support our small, friendly exhibition build team on an ongoing part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone who works school hours, wants flexibility, and is happy operating as a self-employed freelancer. Training is provided, and over time you will become a key part of our project workflow. This is not a full-time employment role — it is a regular freelance position billed by the hour.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and track all aspects of exhibition projects

- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and workshop staff

- Prepare and manage detailed graphic and print files (high accuracy essential)

- Schedule materials, deliveries, logistics, and deadlines

- Assist in creating project documentation, trackers, and purchase orders

- Support the Director with daily operations and communication

- Assist on-site during busy exhibition periods when needed

- Maintain accurate project information and ensure clear handovers

Essential Skills & Requirements

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills

- Full UK driving licence

- Excellent communication and organisational abilities

- A strong eye for detail and accuracy

- Must be able to work Fridays

- Reliable, calm, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

- Willing to learn and grow into the role

- Must be happy working on a self-employed basis and issuing invoices

Hours & Flexibility

Typical hours:

- 9am–4pm (or 10am–4pm)

- 4 days per week (approx. 24–28 hours)

The exhibition industry can involve early starts, late calls, and weekend work during peak times. You must be willing to take occasional calls outside standard hours when the Director is on-site at NEC/ExCeL or other venues and during peak Exhibition periods.

Additional hours will sometimes be required during peak exhibition periods, and we always give reasonable notice.

What We Offer

- £14.50–£15.00 per hour (self-employed)

- Consistent ongoing work across the year

- Full training and support

- A stable, long-term relationship with flexible hours

- A family-friendly environment built around school hours

- A role where your contribution genuinely matters
