CHRISTMAS SPECIAL COMEDY NIGHT

Description

Funhouse Comedy brings another Christmas Special night of laughter to the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Tuesday December 22nd.

Topping the bill is true cockney, Jeff Innocent who was crowned winner of British Comedian of the Year at London's iconic Comedy Store, comic, actor and star of both radio and TV, his last role being in ‘Call the Midwife’; in 2016 he was voted Best Live Comedian by his fellow professionals. Looking like a bouncer but with the intellect of a university professor his sharp wit and confident charm draws the audience into his lair, then he entertains them with his diverse mix of somewhat surreal subjects.

Opening the night will be winner of the highly prestigious British Comedian of the Year, the self-assured Alistair Williams. Smart, passionate, impressively quick witted and bursting with infectious confidence, he tackles any subject matter with amusing results.

Also appearing is plummy, funny and firey, Diane Spencer, an award-winning comedian with a rapidly growing YouTube channel of over 10K subscribers and 1 million views. She has performed worldwide including The Laugh Factory and world famous Improv (LA), received critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe festival and appeared on several TV programmes including Red Light Comedy Live from Amsterdam.

Compere for the night will be the chatty and cheerful Spiky Mike.
