When was the last time you went to the movies and made a night of it?
End of August is Bank Holiday long weekend, so enjoy a special treat! It's a social mixer where you get to see the new release of Spa Weekend and then enjoy a social with plenty of chat, drinks, food or nibbles.

📋WHAT IS THIS EVENT ABOUT?
Spa Weekend is a 2026 comedy film directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. It follows three childhood best friends—Jane, Coco, and Sophie—who escape to a luxury spa retreat in Palm Springs for pampering and relaxation, only for their chaotic friend Mel to crash the trip and turn the peaceful weekend into total chaos. (watch trailer below)Cast: Isla Fisher, Anna Faris, Leslie Mann, Michelle Buteau.
This is a special, August Bank Holiday Sunday night out to watch a fun movie, and afterwards get together for a chat and nibbles/food.
The price listed is to RSVP to the event per person. It does not include Eventbrite fees, the movie ticket(s) or extras like food and drink etc...on the day. These will need to be paid individually by each attendee to the venues .
It is recommended that attendees buy their movie tickets directly on the Vue cinema's website before hand. This ensures that you potentially get cheaper tickets and you get to choose where you want to sit. This is not always possible if it gets booked up on the day. Attendees, can of course, RSVP and attend on the day and buy the movie ticket(s) on the day at the cinema. I do not offer refunds, for the event RSVP price, if tickets are sold out on the day at the cinema.
Please note as the movie has yet to be released in UK cinemas upon the listing of this event (movie will be released in the UK on the 21 August) the times set now are simple approximates and will likely need to be tweaked nearer the time of the movie release to reflect the event times/duration more accurately. Please keep an eye on the ticketing website listing for the updated times.
Valley Retail Park has free parking. Please check the website for more details. There is also a tram that is right next to the Retail Park at Ampere Way. Or there is easy access from East Croydon station into Valley Park as well.
