I'm an experienced, practising secondary English Language & Literature teacher, teaching KS3, GCSE and A-Level.

My approach is simple: start with the end in mind. I identify where a student is now, where they need to be, and the specific skills they need to get there.

I don't teach students to memorise model answers. I teach them to analyse, think critically, write effectively and tackle unfamiliar questions with confidence.

A-Level English Literature

A-Level requires a different level of thinking.

I help students develop independent interpretations, critical perspectives, sophisticated arguments and confident academic writing, alongside coursework / NEA and examination preparation.

I've supported A-Level students to achieve excellent outcomes, including students who have progressed to Oxbridge.

A-Level tuition: £35 per hour

KS3 English & Home Education

Strong GCSE performance starts before GCSE.

I help KS3 students develop the reading, writing, analytical and communication skills that provide the foundations for future success.

For home-educated students, I offer structured English teaching from core skills through to GCSE and A-Level preparation.

Small-Group Tuition

KS3 & GCSE — £25 per hour
Groups of no more than six students

Small groups combine specialist teaching with discussion, individual feedback and the opportunity to learn from others — without the cost of one-to-one tuition.
