A major Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join a significant urban regeneration project in Sheffield city centre. This is a high-profile, complex scheme involving a range of civil engineering, infrastructure, and public realm works in a live city environment, and represents an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to progress within a leading organisation.

The Role

Reporting to the Agent or Project Manager, you will support the day-to-day delivery of works across the project, coordinating site teams, subcontractors, and engineering functions to maintain programme, quality, safety, and commercial performance. You will be expected to take ownership of individual work packages and act as a key point of contact for engineers, foremen, and subcontractors on site.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the management and coordination of daily site operationsSupervise site teams, engineers, and subcontractors across multiple work packagesMonitor programme and production, reporting progress and flagging risks to the project teamReview and approve RAMS, ITPs, and method statementsManage NEC contract communications including compensation events and early warningsMaintain quality, safety, and environmental standards throughout deliveryLiaise with designers, stakeholders, and client representativesSupport the development and mentoring of junior engineers on site What You'll Need

Proven experience as a Sub Agent or Senior Site Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure schemesStrong NEC contract knowledgeExcellent leadership and communication skillsExperience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teamsSMSTS, CSCS Black or Gold Card, and First Aid at WorkTemporary Works Coordinator qualification desirable Fast starts available, so don't hesitate and apply via the button on screen or send a CV to Connor at (url removed)
