In this role you will mark out points, lines and levels on site using surveying equipment. You will read drawings and plans to make sure work is built in the right place and to the right size. You will guide the site teams, check the quality of the work and spot any problems early. You will also keep clear records, write progress reports and look after your equipment. You will travel to different project sites when needed. There is strong support for training, professional qualifications and career growth, with chances to work on projects abroad.

Setting Out Engineer

Setting out and checking work on construction sites

Site based with travel to project sites

Energy and renewables construction sector

Candidate Requirements:

Setting out or site engineering experience

Confident using total stations, GPS or laser levels

Civil engineering or surveying degree, or equivalent experience

Full UK driving licence
