Senior Town Planner – Cheltenham

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Salary: 45,000 – 55,000 (DOE) + Bonus + Benefits

Are you a driven and experienced Town Planner ready to take the next step in your career? I'm working with a well–established and forward–thinking planning consultancy in Cheltenham that's looking to welcome a Senior Town Planner to their dynamic and growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected consultancy with a diverse project portfolio spanning residential, mixed–use, and strategic land schemes. The team has built a reputation for delivering high–quality, commercially–minded planning advice across the South West and beyond. As a Senior Planner, you'll play a key role in managing client relationships, leading projects, and mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities:

Manage a range of planning applications and appeals

Provide expert planning advice to a varied client base

Lead on pre–application and planning strategy work

Prepare and submit planning documentation and written representations

Engage with local authorities and stakeholders

Support Directors on strategic land and major developments

About you:

MRTPI qualified (or working toward it with significant experience)

Proven track record of managing planning applications across sectors

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage clients and projects independently

Commercially astute with strong attention to detail
