Description
We are working with a leading Tier 1 M&E contractor who are growing their commercial team in Leeds and are looking to appoint a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor with aspirations to progress long term!
This role will see you working alongside a strong team, supporting on the successful delivery of large-scale projects across various sectors including education, leisure, commercial and MoJ amongst others.
Although it would benefit, MEP experience is not essential for this role. Strong commercial understanding is what s important as training and development will be provided in other areas with support from wider commercial and ops teams.
This role is suitable for someone operating at Senior QS level or someone looking to step into Senior level - there are realistic opportunities for progression past senior level in time! You will be involved in a combination of JCT and NEC contracts, projects valued from GBP3m - GBP7m and will be reporting into the Regional Commercial Manager and Commerical Manager, with a QS and two graduates below you.
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the project commercial strategies and demonstrating an understanding of the implementation of internal and external tender strategies. Maximise project cashflow by effective commercial management. Contribute to relevant project procurement strategies with particular focus on the issuing of tender enquiries, package reconciliations and production of subcontract orders.
