Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join a major nuclear programme based in Warrington or Hull. This is a permanent staff position offering a hybrid working arrangement, with three days per week in the office and the remainder working remotely.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving engineering delivery across complex, high-value EPC projects within a highly regulated nuclear environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across major nuclear projects

Oversee engineering delivery in line with EPC / EPCM project requirements

Ensure technical quality, compliance, and adherence to nuclear regulatory standards

Provide leadership across Process, Mechanical, and CS&A (Civil, Structural & Architectural) disciplines

Drive project performance, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, and budget

Interface with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies

Support the development of engineering strategies and best practices across programmes

Experience Required:

Proven experience in a Senior Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, or Head of Engineering role

Strong background in one or more of the following disciplines: Process, Mechanical, or CS&A

Demonstrable experience delivering engineering on EPC / EPCM / major capital projects

Experience within the nuclear sector or other highly regulated industries

Strong understanding of engineering governance, assurance, and compliance requirements

About You:

Degree qualified in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

Strong leadership and team management capability

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Ability to lead within complex, safety-critical project environments
