Description

Children's Residential Support Worker – School Setting

Location: Blackpool

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm

Contract: Full–time, term–time only

Salary: 90 – 125 per day

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? Do you have the resilience, empathy, and energy to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?

Tradewind are looking for a dedicated Children's Residential Support Worker to join the team within a specialist school environment in Blackpool. Working closely with teaching staff, therapists, and care teams, you will support pupils aged 7–16 who require tailored care and guidance to help them thrive both educationally and emotionally.

About the Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEMH needsBuild positive, trusting relationships to support emotional regulation and developmentAssist in creating a safe, nurturing learning environment within a structured school settingWork collaboratively with teachers and residential staff to meet individual care plansPromote positive behaviour and independence through consistent and compassionate supportAbout You:

Experience working with children with SEMH or in a residential care setting is desirableCalm, patient, and emotionally resilientAble to work effectively as part of a multi–disciplinary teamLevel 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, Childcare or equivalent (preferred)Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)Why Join the school?
