Long-term career progression within a growing business

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured civils work, my client is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of projects across rail and infrastructure frameworks in the Anglia region.

Working closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial function across a mix of frameworks and standalone projects, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, and efficient delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with 3-5 years' experience who is "on the ball", proactive, and looking to develop within a fast-paced and growing business.

As Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:

Supporting the commercial management of civils frameworks and projects

Tracking and managing work orders, variations, EOTs, and client instructions

Monitoring project progress and identifying risks and commercial impacts

Supporting cost/value reporting and forecasting

Assisting with procurement and management of supply chain resources

Reviewing and commercially assessing client contract documents

Supporting change control processes to maximise revenue and reduce risk

Liaising with client representatives to progress valuations and approvals

Ensuring accurate project data and commercial reporting

Requirements:

3-5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor

Background in civil engineering projects (e.g. earthworks, drainage, bridges)

Experience working in a fast-paced environment supporting senior commercial staff

NEC contract experience beneficial but not essential

Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and Word

Full UK driving licence

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established contractor within the rail and civils sector, offering strong career progression, hands-on project exposure, and the chance to develop within a supportive commercial team.
