Project Manager - Marine / Port Infrastructure

Location: Felixstowe, Suffolk

Contract: Freelance / CIS

Rate: 450- 550 per day

Project Value: 7.5m

Sector: Marine / Ports / Heavy Civil Engineering

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong marine, port or heavy civil engineering background to deliver a 7.5m infrastructure project at Felixstowe Port for a specialist marine contractor.

The project involves the replacement of twin crane rails within an operational port environment, incorporating significant heavy civil engineering works and requiring a highly experienced Project Manager capable of managing complex construction activities safely, efficiently and to programme.

The Role

You will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, coordinating site operations, subcontractors, engineering teams and key stakeholders while ensuring the works are delivered to the required standards for safety, quality, programme and cost.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of a 7.5m crane rail replacement scheme within a live port environmentManage heavy civil and marine construction activities from mobilisation through to completionCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers, site teams and engineering resourcesManage programme, commercial performance, quality and H&SLiaise closely with the client, port stakeholders and project teamsEnsure works are delivered safely with minimal disruption to ongoing port operationsManage construction sequencing, logistics and site interfacesMonitor progress against programme and drive delivery on siteLead project meetings and provide clear reporting to senior management and the clientIdentify and manage project risks, issues and change

About You

The successful candidate will have a proven track record delivering marine, port, quay, crane rail, heavy civils or similar complex infrastructure projects.

You should have:

Strong Project Management experience within construction/civil engineeringPrevious experience working in a port or marine environmentExperience delivering projects of 5m+ valueStrong knowledge of heavy civil engineering and construction methodologiesExperience managing multiple subcontractors and site teamsExcellent programme, commercial and stakeholder management skillsStrong understanding of health, safety and quality requirementsAbility to manage complex works within an operational environmentRelevant construction/project management qualifications are desirableThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with marine or port experience to take a lead role on a high-profile 7.5m infrastructure scheme at Felixstowe Port.

Rate: 450- 550 per day CIS
