Description

GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with a well-established engineering organisation based in the Worcester area. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Process Engineer (Machining) to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

This position is working Monday to Friday, offering a salary of 40,000 - 45,000, dependent on experience.

As a Process Engineer (Machining), you will play a key role within the Process Engineering team, ensuring that machining processes are clearly documented, effectively trained, and consistently followed across the business. You will also support continuous improvement initiatives and help develop future manufacturing capabilities.

Process Engineer (Machining) main duties:

Program work on existing CNC machines including Matsuura MC-800VF, Haas VF2SSVT, and Haas VF 6SS. Take ownership of the manual machining area, ensuring efficiency and best practice is maintained. Support the development of future machining capabilities and processes. Manage projects relating to the design and development of new fixtures. Oversee calibration control of existing fixtures. Create, develop and maintain Work Instructions, along with delivering operator training. Take responsibility for scrap reduction and continuous improvement activities. Ensure all work is carried out accurately, safely, and within required timeframes. Work in line with Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety Management Systems. Support wider business objectives, including production flow and minimising downtime. Process Engineer (Machining) required skills and experience:

A degree in Engineering or a related discipline is advantageous. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, toolmakers, and cross-functional teams. Hands-on experience within aerospace manufacturing environments. Knowledge of machining and/or other aerospace manufacturing processes. Understanding of aerospace quality standards such as AS13100, AS9100, AS9145, and AS9102. Experience in non-conformance management and Root Cause Corrective Action processes.
