Principal Mechanical Engineer

Description

A leading international engineering consultancy is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects across sectors such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and mission-critical facilities.

This position is available on either a permanent or contract basis, depending on candidate preference and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead mechanical design from concept through detailed engineering and construction supportProvide technical direction and mentorship to engineering teamsEnsure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client specificationsPrepare and review technical reports, specifications, and drawingsCollaborate with clients, project managers, and other disciplines to deliver integrated solutionsContribute to business development and proposal preparationPromote innovation and continuous improvement within the mechanical function Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline; Chartered Engineer status preferred7+ years of experience in mechanical design within consultancy or project delivery environmentsProven leadership in delivering complex, multidisciplinary projectsStrong understanding of HVAC, utilities, and process systems in regulated industriesExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsAbility to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment What's on Offer:
