Planning Engineer / Senior Planner London Greater London Manchester Southampton Peterborough

First Recruitment are currently working with several leading engineering, infrastructure and project delivery organisations who are looking to strengthen their planning teams across a variety of exciting projects in the Water, Rail, Nuclear, Utilities and Infrastructure sectors.

Whether you're an experienced Planning Engineer or an established Senior Planner, there are opportunities to work on some of the UK's most complex and high-profile programmes.

What you'll be doing • Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 • Monitoring project progress against key milestones and programme deliverables • Conducting critical path analysis and identifying programme risks and opportunities • Supporting project teams with planning, scheduling and project controls activities • Producing programme reports, dashboards and management information • Leading planning workshops and collaborating with project stakeholders • Supporting change management, mitigation planning and programme recovery initiatives

What we're looking for • Proven experience in a Planning Engineer or Planner role • Strong Primavera P6 experience is essential • Background delivering projects within Water, Rail, Nuclear, Utilities or Infrastructure sectors • Understanding of project controls, programme management and risk analysis • Experience working on NEC contracts is highly desirable • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • Relevant engineering, construction or project management qualifications preferred, ideally an engineering background / qualification aswell.
