A brilliant opportunity to join a specialist automotive electronics business, develop practical technical skills and work alongside an experienced and supportive team.

This company specialises in remanufacturing automotive electronic components, restoring faulty units to a standard equivalent to new. You will join their Colchester team, benefiting from specialist in-house training and opportunities to develop your career within a niche technical industry.

In this role, you will disassemble, clean and reassemble automotive electronic and mechatronic components, support testing and fault-finding, and carry out basic soldering and component replacement once trained. You will also record completed work, follow quality procedures and support improvements within the department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in electronics or automotive technology, good attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Electrical, electronic or automotive knowledge would be beneficial, while previous soldering experience is highly desirable.

The Role:

Disassembling, cleaning and reassembling automotive electronic and mechatronic components

Supporting testing and fault-finding using documented procedures

Basic soldering and component replacement once trained and authorised

Accurately recording work and updating production systems

Following quality, health and safety, and environmental procedures

Full-time, on-site position in Colchester

Good communication and teamwork skills
