Job Title: Junior Design Engineer

Location: Peterborough

Salary: 25,000 - 30,000 per annum

We are seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join an established engineering company based in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual early in their career who is looking to develop their design skills within a supportive engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist in creating 3D models and 2D technical drawings using CAD software.

Support senior engineers with product development, design updates, and engineering modifications.

Help prepare documentation, bills of materials, and technical reports.

Contribute to prototyping, testing, and project support activities.

Work collaboratively with engineering, production, and project teams.

Ensure designs meet quality, performance, and manufacturing requirements.

Requirements:

Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.

Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks or similar preferred).

Strong interest in engineering design and product development.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Eager to learn, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks.
