Description

HGV Technician (Diagnostics & Repairs)

21.63 P/H

We are looking for a skilled and adaptable HGV Technician with strong diagnostic ability to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in the Reading area.

This role focuses on carrying out advanced diagnostics using manufacturer-level equipment, identifying faults, and completing high-quality repairs. You will also support routine servicing, inspections, and general maintenance as required.

You'll be working across a range of commercial vehicle brands, so a proactive, "can-do" attitude is essential. Ongoing training and development will be provided, including both in-house and manufacturer-led programmes, to ensure all work is completed to the highest standards.

Pay & Benefits

Hourly Rate: up to 21.63 per hour (depending on experience)On Target Earnings (OTE): up to 64,000 per yearShift Allowance: 3,000 per year (late shift)Productivity Bonus: up to 6,000 annually (paid quarterly)Overtime readily availableWeekend and overtime paid at enhanced rates (1.5x)Hours:

40 hours per weekSplit shift rotation: Week 1: 6:00am - 3:00pmWeek 2: 1:00pm - 10:00pm1 in 3 Saturdays: 7:00am - 12:00pm

Requirements

Essential:

Experience as an HGV Technician with diagnostic capabilityStrong problem-solving skillsGood communication and teamworkOrganised and able to meet deadlinesFlexible approach to workloadDesirable (not essential):
