Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to partner with a well-established secondary school in Daventry, seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join their team for the 2025/26 academic year. This full-time role is available on either a permanent basis or as a long-term supply position, offering excellent professional development opportunities and a collaborative working environment.

Role Overview: Deliver engaging and well-planned History lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for experienced candidates

Inspire students to develop a passion for History through stimulating lessons and active learning approaches

Assess and monitor student progress, providing clear feedback and support tailored to individual needs

Play an active role in curriculum development and departmental activities

Support wider school initiatives, including extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities

Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, curiosity, and academic ambition

Candidate Profile: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching History

Ability to engage and challenge students across a range of abilities

Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills

Committed to ongoing professional development and teamwork

Suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
