The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established FMCG food manufacturer for an Engineering Team Leader to support a production operation. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on equipment reliability, team performance, and safe, efficient maintenance delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and motivate a site-based engineering team within a FMCG production area

Coordinate and deliver planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime

Act as the primary technical fault-finder for production equipment

Ensure full compliance with health & safety and food manufacturing standards

Develop team capability through coaching, training, and performance management

Work closely with production to align maintenance with output and quality targets

Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment performance data

Skills & Experience Required

Engineering background within food, bottling or FMCG manufacturing

Previous experience in a team leader or supervisory engineering role

Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills

Knowledge of health & safety regulations in a manufacturing environment

Confident communicator with strong people leadership skills

Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
