Pertemps Daventry are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our long-established clients based in Silverstone for an EMC Test Technician.

The RoleWorking alongside experienced engineers, you will support the testing, installation and maintenance of specialist EMC test equipment while ensuring all work is carried out to UKAS and company standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

Carrying out EMC testing on customer equipment under the guidance of qualified engineers.Setting up, monitoring and dismantling EMC test systems.Installing, commissioning and maintaining specialist test equipment.Recording accurate test and calibration results in accordance with company procedures.Assisting with laboratory housekeeping and equipment maintenance.Performing routine health and safety checks on electrical equipment.Reporting equipment faults and ensuring testing is completed within agreed timescales.Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with UKAS quality standards.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:

An Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Relevant industry experience will also be considered.At least one year's industrial training or experience in a related electronics field is desirable, although newly qualified candidates are encouraged to apply as full training will be provided.Soldering skills for electrical and electronic components. Experience with SMT and discrete components is advantageous.Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce accurate technical reports.Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.What's on Offer?Starting salary of 26,000 per annumSalary increase to 28,000 per annum after successful completion of a 6-month probationary periodFull training and career developmentOpportunity to work within the exciting world of motorsportSupportive and experienced engineering teamLong-term career prospects with a well-established organisationIf you're looking to launch or develop your career in electronics and want to work in an innovative and fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.
