Job Title: Assembler

Locations: Braintree

Pay: 13.31ph + Holiday, Pension and Adecco Benefits

Hours: Monday-Thursday 7:25am-16:30pm Friday 7:30am-13:10pm

Duration: Temporary to Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an Assembler to join our client's team, responsible for the mechanical and electrical assembly, wiring, and testing of low-voltage distribution and panel boards.

This is a hands-on role where quality, safety, and attention to detail are critical. You will work to technical drawings and industry standards to deliver reliable, high-performance electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Build, wire, and test distribution boards and panel boards in line with guidelinesRead and interpret electrical CAD drawings and wiring diagramsSelect, check, and prepare components prior to buildAssemble wiring looms using various cable crimping toolsCarry out electrical testing includingDiagnose and resolve wiring and assembly faultsMaintain accurate production and test documentationWork independently and collaboratively to meet production targets

Desirable but not essential as full training provided for the right candidate:

18th Edition (BS 7671) knowledge or qualificationPanel testing experienceProven experience in a low-voltage panel building environmentUnderstanding of electrical systems and componentsExcellent attention to detail and quality focusStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsComputer literacy

Working Environment

Primarily workshop-based with occasional site workRegular use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipmentSafety-focused, team-oriented environment
