What will you be doing as an Electrical Engineer:

Working as part of a team, you will be ensuring smooth and continued running of a large production site. You will ensure the smooth running and maintenance of all manufacturing assets, whilst delivering optimum plant reliability through preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, root cause analysis and continuous improvement. The role will focus on PPM to reduce the need to take a fire fighting approach to maintenance and repairs. Duties will include:

Deliver hands-on engineering support to keep production running smoothlyPerform both reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipmentKeep maintenance records up to date using our CMMS systemWork closely with production to meet daily performance goalsFollow safety and repair best practices at all timesContribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives

The role will involve working a continental shift pattern, 3 on, 2 off with a 42.9 hour week on average with 12.25-hour shifts: This will rotate between days (05:45-18:00) and nights (17:45-6:00) and includes nights, weekends and bank holidays

Experience in a similar Engineering role with a strong electrical bias with a large company background, ideally in manufacturingNVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering apprenticeship with hands-on experience is essentialRecognised electrical academic qualificationElectrical Testing & Inspecting - City & Guilds 2391 holder would be an advantage18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification is desirableStrong electro-mechanical knowledgeWorking knowledge of PLC systems - Allen Bradley and/or Siemens an advantageFamiliarity with CMMS and SCADA systemsComfortable with LOTO processesSolid understanding of equipment and technical standardsA sense of ownership for safety, quality, and performanceProblem-solving skillsGood communication skillsDue to the location of the site, you will need your own transport
