Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading energy provider to recruit an EC&I Technician to work on a CHP plant in Seascale.

This crucial EC&I Technician has Monday to Friday working hours and the salary can be discussed upon application.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Site Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:Fault finding, installing and maintaining, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems.Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control systems.Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS)Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work.Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMSSupervising and directing on site contractors when requiredEnsuring strict HSE compliance at all times.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

A recognised EC&I engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalentKnowledge and understanding of maintenance on controls and instrumentation equipmentExperience working in a maintenance position in a similar industry.

Personal skills

The EC and I Technician role would suit someone who:

Has a positive attitude and is able to take initiative on site. Adheres to SHEQ regulations. Able to work Monday to Friday fixed hours.
