CNC Machinist

Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Machinist / Miller Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our growing team within a precision engineering environment.

This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of programming, setting, and running CNC milling machines, ensuring high-quality production, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Programme, set, and operate CNC milling machines, including:Bridgeport Vertical Mills (Heidenhain controls)Haas Mills (Fanuc controls)Coordinate all programming and setting activities, working collaboratively with other settersSupport 2nd operations machinery when required, including:Thread rollers, grinding machines, drill banks, deburring tools, torque testers, and moreThe CNC Miller will carry out first-off inspections and in-process checks for both 1st and 2nd operationsWork with a variety of materials including aluminium, stainless steels, and InconelEnsure all products meet compliance standardsThe CNC Machinist will complete daily maintenance and cycle time documentationMaintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment

CNC Miller/ CNC Machinist - Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines Flexible on CNC Branding MachinesMust have experience in Fanuc ControlsStrong working knowledge of 3 & 4 Axis Milling MachinesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsExcellent measurement and inspection skills using a range of metrology tools
