Cable Jointers Mates

Power & Infrastructure Resourcing are looking for an experienced Cable Jointers Mates for upcoming works in Scotland.

Location: Dundee & North (Monday Friday)

Duration: Approx. 6 months starting March 2026 (likelihood of additional works to follow)

Hours: 10 hours per day, Monday Friday (competitive rates + tax-free subsistence)

Key Responsibilities

Assist Cable Jointers with the preparation and completion of LV and HV jointing and cable terminations Support cable installation activities, including pulling, laying and securing cables Carry out excavation and reinstatement tasks where required Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment around the jointing area Assist with setting up safe systems of work, including barriers, signage and site protection Ensure all tools, materials and equipment are available, clean and properly maintained Follow method statements, risk assessments, and DNO safety rules Record basic site information and support the completion of job documentation Communicate clearly with the Jointer and wider team to support efficient workflow Report hazards, near misses and incidents in line with SHEQ procedures Represent the company professionally on client sites and in public areas Skills & Experience Required

Experience supporting cable jointing activities (preferred but not essential) Basic understanding of electrical networks, or willingness to learn Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team Strong Health & Safety awareness on site Good practical skills and physical capability for manual handling tasks Reliable, punctual and safety-focused Qualifications & Training

CSCS card First Aid certification Manual Handling training Full UK driving licence
