Description

Job Title: Bench Wirer

Location: Rugeley

Salary: DOE

Full-Time Permanent

The Role

As an Wirer, you will be responsible for the assembly, wiring and testing of electrical components, looms and control panels in line with engineering drawings, build documentation and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities

Wire and assemble electrical components, control panels and cable looms to engineering drawings and build instructionsInstall cable looms and harnesses across a range of electrical assembliesCarry out crimping, soldering, lacing and termination activities to required standardsRead and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics and electrical layout drawingsWork with a variety of connector types, conduit systems, trunking and cable management solutionsConduct functional, continuity and insulation testing of completed assemblies (training provided where required)Complete manufacturing and quality documentation including MITPs, Traveller Documents, FAIRs and QARsWork to IPC-620 standards and internal build proceduresMaintain compliance with all quality, health & safety, environmental and security proceduresSupport continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiativesSkills & Experience

Previous experience working as a Wirer within a regulated engineering or manufacturing environmentExperience working to MOD, IPC-620 or DEF-STAN wiring standardsAbility to follow detailed electrical drawings and build instructions accuratelyCompetent using hand tools, test equipment and manufacturing documentationNVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualificationIf you are a skilled Wirer with a passion for quality and precision engineering, we would love to hear from you.
