Assistant Mechanical Project Manager Opportunity Commercial & Data Centre Projects - London

We are working with a leading M&E Contractor is seeking an Assistant Mechanical Project Manager to join their London team for commercial fitouts and data centres in London. Operating as the Principal Contractor, this organisation has built a strong reputation delivering complex schemes across the data centre, commercial fit-out, and critical infrastructure sectors.

The Role:

As Assistant Mechanical Project Manager, you will share responsibility for the mechanical package on various projects with an established Mechanical Project Manager, ensuring delivery from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing the full lifecycle of mechanical installations on a major data centre scheme Coordinating with design teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders Overseeing programme, cost control, and quality assurance Driving health & safety standards across site operations Leading commissioning and handover processes in line with critical environment requirements Reporting into senior leadership and contributing to overall project strategy About You:

Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager/Supervisor within M&E / building services Strong background delivering data centre, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial projects Experience working for a main contractor or principal contractor environment Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and commissioning processes Ability to manage complex programmes in fast-paced environments The Company:
