Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 p/h

Hours: Mon: 7.30am - 4pm, Tues: 7.30am - 4.30pm, Weds/Thurs: 7.30am - 5pm, Friday: 7.30am - 12pm

We’re recruiting an Electrical Assembly & Test Technician for a leading manufacturer of bespoke industrial systems. This is a varied, hands-on role covering complete machine wiring, functional testing, and electrical support across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

Wire and connect electrical systems including sensors, motors, actuators, and interconnects

Carry out functional testing, I/O checks, and basic fault-finding before commissioning

Verify signal paths and safe operation prior to software/HMI integration

Read and work from schematics, layout drawings, and BOMs

Support electrical installation tasks such as lighting circuits, distribution boards, and upgrades

Assist with new machinery installations and improvement projects

Collaborate with mechanical and design teams during build and integration

Requirements:

Background in machine wiring or industrial electrical assembly

Skilled in reading electrical drawings and wiring documentation

Experience with control devices, drives, sensors, and motors (DOL & VFD)

Confident in diagnosing and fixing electrical faults

Flexible to switch between workshop builds and on-site electrical work

Electrical installation experience (industrial/commercial/domestic)

Recognised qualifications (18th Edition or equivalent)
