Description
Much loved E-bike used for local journeys for the past few years (bought in 2019). It is described as a hybrid bike and is comfortable to ride with a suspension front fork. As a hybrid it is suitable for use on road and on light trails. The battery charges quickly and has a range of around 60 miles. The controller has 4 speeds (Turbo, Sport, Tour and Eco) and like all pedalecs it's limited to 15.5 mph on the motor though the bike will of course go faster downhill or if pedalled to higher speeds. I have upgraded the derailleur to a very robust Shimano Deore and added SKS mudguards and a rear rack. I have also upgraded the tyres to Schwalbe Marathon E - Plus which are virtually guaranteed against punctures (and I've had none). The motor is centrally placed at the Crank which is the best from the point of view of stability and steering and it's a Bosch motor which many consider to be the best. The battery is removeable via a keylock system (2 Keys Provided) and there is a Bosch Charger with cables that come with the bike. Finally, I have decided to include an AXA lock for which the bike has the necessary fitting points and which can lock the back wheel by means of a key lock. You may have seen these on bikes abroad where they are very popular and cost £50 to buy here. The full bike specification is as follows:
Scott Aluminium Frame - Size Medium
Bosch Motor (250 watt I believe) with controller
Bosch 400W battery and 2 keys
